The Children’s Chorus of Springfield was founded in 2007 by Vera S. Baker, then newly retired music educator and arts administrator, and Dr. E. Wayne Abercrombie, newly retired Director of Choral Activities at UMass/Amherst.
The co-founders saw a need for a citywide chorus in Springfield that could strive to remove cultural, economic, and social barriers through singing while instilling the important life skills of team work, discipline, responsibility, and self-control.

Carol is also the choral director of East Longmeadow High School and Esther is President of the New Hampshire chapter of the American Choral Directors Association." src="/wp-content/uploads/WatchDirectorVideo.png" width="270" height="65" />
