The Manchester Silk City Chorus was organized in 1963 and has grown to become one of the premier choruses in the state and in southern New England. Under the direction of Todd Lamson, its members, ranging in age from 20 to 70, come from nearly 45 communities and several states. Over its 41-year history, the chorus has won several division championships and in the past decade has consistently placed amongst the top 10 choruses in the Northeast District (New England, Eastern New York, the Canadian Maritime Provinces and the Province of Quebec).
