TOGETHER IN SONG SEASON 5 REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED
WGBY announces the 2015 season of the Emmy Nominated Together in Song. Regional choral groups are invited to submit performance clips before November 24, 2014 December 15, 2014 to enter into the series. Chosen participants will come to WGBY’s studios in Springfield to tape their show segment in January & February 2015. The top performers will appear LIVE at the Together in Song Regional Choral Awards on April 26, 2015. Performances will be broadcast in March & April 2015 and will also be viewable worldwide via the Together in Song website. The top vote getter will receive their own half-hour special on WGBY. Be sure to watch the Season 4 winners, the Amherst Regional High School Chorale on October 6 at 9pm on WGBY. Season 5 of Together in Song is an unmatched opportunity for your choral group to reach the widest possible audience. We know you love to sing and to share that experience with others and this is the perfect opportunity to do that.

ELIGIBILITY
Musical groups dedicated to the performance of choral music and who are based in western New England (the WGBY service area of western MA, northern Connecticut, southern Vermont, and New Hampshire) are eligible for consideration. Applicants should upload a 2-4 minute video clip of their ensemble to YouTube or Facebook. Submissions on DVD will also be accepted. The deadline for submission is November 24, 2014 December 15, 2014. In order to participate in the TV series, choirs must be available for taping in the WGBY studios between January 19 and February 14, 2015. (February 16-20 are reserved for missed tapings due to weather cancellations.) All participants must also be prepared to be available on Sunday, April 26, 2014, in the event that they are selected to perform in the Regional Choral Awards Show. Choirs that have participated in any season of Together in Song are eligible to enter for Season 5.

REVIEW PROCESS AND CRITERIA
Participation in the TV series is determined by a jury. All participants will be notified in late December 2014.
TV Series
We have made it as easy for you as possible to participate in Together in Song. Once selected, ensembles will be responsible for preparing a set of approximately four minutes in duration. This may be one selection or up to three, as long as the total duration is approximately four minutes. Instrumental accompaniment will be limited to a piano or small acoustic instruments held by singers.
Performances will be taped in WGBY’s Springfield studios.
Together in Song Season 5 will premiere during the month of March and will air on Saturday evenings. As the season unfolds, judges and viewers will vote for their favorite performances in each category. These votes will determine which groups will perform in the April 26 Live Regional Choral Awards program.
Together in Song Regional Choral Awards
The Regional Choral Awards will be a single live broadcast, hosted by Kevin Rhodes, on Sunday, April 26, 2015. All participating groups must be ready to perform in the live program in the event that they are selected. In addition, any members of participating groups from the current season are invited to participate in a special choral performance as part of the live broadcast.
