Get ready! WGBY, with the generous support of MassMutual, is thrilled to announce an upcoming fourth season of western New England’s premiere celebration of the choral tradition.
What is Together in Song?
This local production is by far WGBY’s most ambitious annual televised series, as it involves over 1,000 amateur performers of all ages. Regional choral groups submit performance clips as a way to enter into the series. Once chosen, participants head to WGBY’s studios in Springfield to tape their show segment. The series is hosted by Kevin Rhodes, Music Director of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and is broadcast each March. Viewers and judges vote for their favorite groups throughout the season. The top performers get to appear LIVE during the Together in Song Showcasetoward the end of April. NEW THIS YEAR! The group that receives the most votes wins a 30-minute TV program on WGBY. Free!

What Happened in Season 3?
Together in Song wrapped up its third season on Sunday, April 28, 2013 with a live showcase broadcast from Springfield’s historic Paramount Theater and hosted by Kevin Rhodes of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
Over six weeks leading up to the Showcase, judges and viewers selected the top 9 ensembles out of 36 who participated this year. Those 9 groups got to perform on stage with a studio audience plus viewers at home who tuned in for the event.

WGBY invited fans to submit a vote via text or phone in support of their favorite choirs. After more than 1,1000 votes were tallied, Amherst Regional High School Chorale was announced as the 2013 audience favorite.
