About Director Alexandra Ludwig

Alexandra Ludwig maintains a varied musical career as a conductor, teacher, accompanist, and singer. Currently she is Assistant Professor of Music at Springfield College where she heads the SC Singers. In addition to being a pianist who plays for the College’s dance department, she is a member of Novi Cantori, the Pioneer Valley’s premiere cathedral-style chamber chorus. As a choral conductor she has worked with the South Hadley Chorale, Pioneer Valley Symphony Chorus, and at the Bard Music Festival. As an orchestral/opera conductor she has worked with the New York Youth Symphony, Bronx Opera, Woodstock Chamber Orchestra and Pioneer Valley Symphony among others. She received her undergraduate degree from Smith College and earned her master’s degree in orchestral conducting at Bard College.
