About Director Dr. Stephen A. Paparo

Stephen A. Paparo is in his second year as Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and conducts the University Chorale. He holds degrees from Michigan State University (Ph.D.), Syracuse University (M.M.), and Ithaca College (B.M.), and is a Guild Certified Practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method® of Somatic Education. He has taught junior high and high school choral music in New Hartford, NY. Active as a clinician, Dr. Paparo has also presented at numerous state, national, and international conferences, including the Massachusetts Music Educators Conference, and published in Music Education Research and Michigan Music Educator.
