Founded in 1982 by Michael Dulac and originally named Schola Cantorum, Schola Nova is a choral ensemble dedicated to the performance of sacred choral music drawn from all historical periods with a particular emphasis on a cappella singing. The group is comprised of twenty singers of diverse backgrounds. It provides music for liturgical occasions, as well as concerts of sacred vocal music at venues throughout the Pioneer Valley and southern New England. Schola Nova was named Artists in Residence at OLV in 2010.
