Cantor Martin Levson, Conductor

“Shir Fun!” is comprised of students of the Sinai Temple Religious School from Grades 3-7. They rehearse on Sunday mornings for 40 minutes, and perform monthly at Sinai Temple Shabbat worship services and other events in the Springfield Jewish community. “Shir Fun!” members learn Hebrew, liturgy, traditional and modern Jewish melodies, and Jewish values expressed in song. Musically, “Shir Fun!” sings a number of pieces with a harmony line or as a round, with the older students of “Shir Fun!” leading the different parts. “Shir Fun!” members learn the self discipline and focus that comes from participating in a group with a common goal, and they enjoy the benefits of being a part of a tight-knit social group at Temple Sinai.
