The Children’s Chorus of Springfield, established in 2007, is comprised of students representing 25 elementary and middle schools in Springfield. It is the only choir of its kind in the city, serving as vocal music ambassadors in the tradition of children’s choirs in many of this country’s major cities. The mission of the Children’s Chorus of Springfield is threefold: to teach music literacy through singing, to cultivate a generation of leaders and ambassadors for Springfield through song, and to encourage the active participation of our city’s youth in Springfield’s vibrant arts community.
