The Choraliers are the premier choir at Hall High School and are featured in the annual Madrigal Dinners and in the Pop’s n’ Jazz Show. The Choraliers have performed for the state ACDA Fall Conference, with the professional Connecticut choir, CONCORA, and have attended master classes with the international choir Chanticleer. Last year they performed with the professional vocal ensemble Western Wind. The Choraliers sing in more than 50 performances each year, including a spring tour to Europe with the Hall Jazz Band and Dancers. They were selected to appear on the “Best of High School A Cappella” 2002. In 2003 they won first place in the vocal ensemble competition at the Berklee Jazz Festival in Boston. Their repertoire spans a wide range of musical styles including classical, renaissance, jazz, pop and contemporary.

About the Director<br /> Lorraine Cetto is in her 31st year as Director of Choral Activities at Hall High School, West Hartford, CT.   She received her undergraduate degree in music education from Anna Maria College, Paxton, Massachusetts, her master degree in performance from University of Connecticut and Kodaly Certificate from the Hartt School.  Ms. Cetto has worked as a guest conductor in Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island and Virginia and is past President of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Choral Directors.  She received the Outstanding School Educator in 2003 from the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut and was named Choral Director of the Year for Connecticut ACDA in 2004.
