The Connotations were founded by Rachel Carey in Northampton, MA in 2008. Six years later, her Craigslist ‘Singer’s Wanted’ ad has developed into one of the Pioneer Valley’s premiere community a cappella groups. The Connotations have a strong commitment to their communities and community service, annually performing in downtown Northampton to benefit the Northampton Survival Center and the Interfaith Cot Shelter. When they organize their own performances, expect food, drink and good times. Their most recent public performance was at Black Birch Vineyards in Southampton, MA.
